Before you instruct us

What is a free scope check?

It tells you where you stand, what your options are and what each next step would cost. It isn't a full review of your documents, and it doesn't include drafting.

Why are drafting, review and redlining priced separately?

They are different legal tasks. A review points out the risks. A redline marks up the draft with new wording. Drafting builds the agreement from the deal itself. Negotiation starts when the other side replies or asks for changes.

Why do some services show a “From” price?

Several things can change the work a lot. These include how the deal is structured, how many companies are involved, technical schedules and bilingual drafting. IP or tooling issues, the number of documents, urgency and the state of negotiations matter too. We confirm the exact scope and fee before paid work begins. A narrower or very different matter may get its own quote.

Can an assessment lead to later work?

Yes. A dispute or complex matter may start with a paid assessment. A demand letter, negotiation or proceedings may follow, each agreed separately. The USD 350 triage is credited in full if you instruct the next step within 30 days. A USD 1,950 written assessment, of a supplier dispute or of a court case, is credited in full if you instruct us for litigation or arbitration within 30 days.

What happens if the other side sends a new redline?

That is normally a negotiation round. The client revision in the first drafting scope doesn't cover it. We quote the next round, or handle it under the agreed negotiation arrangement. For an NNN, each round of changes from a supplier is USD 450.

When does the timetable start?

The usual turnaround starts once we confirm the scope and receive all the agreed materials. The engagement and payment conditions must also be met.

Agree the next step before work begins.

Conflict check → written scope and fee → signed terms → payment → work begins.

Tell us the short version.

A few non-confidential sentences and any deadline are enough to start.

Start with a short summary and the parties’ names for a conflict check. Please wait for us to confirm how to share documents before sending sensitive files. Sending an enquiry does not make us your lawyers.
